The Story of Leda & the Swan Re-imagined

Queen Leda was fond of bathing in the nearby lake. Zeus saw her rare beauty and blinded by lust, transformed himself into a swan to seduce her. As wise Leda watched his approach she did not fear. She picked up her lyre and began to play a melody so lovely he stopped to listen, the music soothing his heart. He then saw only her beautiful soul. They played and laughed together in the water, parting as dear friends as the sun set.
